LSU women's basketball coach Kim Mulkey is well-known for her intensity, both on and off the court.
That intensity apparently extends to the diamond as well.
Mulkey had the honor of throwing out the first pitch at a Savannah Bananas baseball game in Baton Rouge over the weekend. And − as often happens when the traveling exhibition club is in town − things took an unexpected and hilarious turn.
Mulkey's pitch was just a bit outside, but when the umpire failed to give her the traditional "strike" call, she stormed off the mound and started arguing. You can imagine what happened next.
Sure enough, the umpire called a technical foul on Mulkey, but it didn't stop her from arguing − or kicking dirt on home plate.

That left no choice but to "T" her up again. And of course, two techs mean you're outta here!
Only after "ejecting" Mulkey from the game did the two join hands and acknowledge the gag − much to the delight of the crowd on hand at Alex Box Stadium.
Mulkey will be back in action on Friday (presumably the ejection won't carry over) when the defending national champion and No. 3-seeded LSU Lady Tigers play host to Rice in the first round of the NCAA women's basketball tournament.
